Lalin railway is from Lhasa south railway station in Lhasa, capital of Tibet autonomous region -- nyingchi railway station in bayi district of nyingchi city. It starts from the south Lhasa station and goes down the Lhasa river, turns east by gongga, passes through naidong, lang county, mirin, and crosses the Brahmaputra river to nyingchi station. Lalin railway is designed with a speed of 160km/h, which belongs to the low level fast railway and is faster than the normal speed railway. There are 34 stations newly built along the line (the density of stations is the highest in China, which is convenient for farmers and herdsmen along the line). In the initial stage, 17 stations will be opened, 9 will handle passenger and freight business, and 8 will transfer stations.
